Through The Lens 144 – Fair Food

Fair Food

I haven’t photographed the Frederick Fair in a couple of years, and the weather may not cooperate this year, so we’ll dig into the archives for one of my favorites from years past.  I was walking back to my car after photographing the midway at night and this food vendor caught my eye. Thought it would look nice in black and white.

Through The Lens 134 – Wreck of the Peter Iredale

Wreck of the Peter Iredale

Wreck of the Peter Iredale, Fort Stevens State Park, Oregon.  The Peter Iredale was a four-masted steel barque sailing vessel that ran ashore October 25, 1906, on the Oregon.  The remains of the hull are a popular photography spot.  While I was hoping for a nice sunset, we at least had some nice clouds.

I took this one during a trip to Oregon in May, on the way to a Photo Charter on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad.  I’ll post a trip report soon.

Through The Lens 130 – Klotz Throwing Company

I’m heading up to the Klotz Throwing Company this weekend.  Looking forward to spending some time in this special place again.

Happy Friday!

Through The Lens 120 – Reflections

I remember the mirror-like stillness of the water on the floor at Scranton Lace stopped my in my tracks.  It took me a few minutes to find a composition I liked, but the end image was worth the time spend to find it.
