Oh, what a beautiful morning we had in Roanoke in May of 2017! And what a thrill to see the locomotive in her hometown, with some of the old Norfolk & Western buildings still there for her to dust with cinders (among them, the railroad’s headquarters, on the far left in Michael’s photo above, now converted into apartments).
